Foz de Iguaçu
Our trip started in Florianopolis, we drove first from there to the city of Curitiba. From there it os one road to the final destination.
The road trip was full of amazing views, they were comparable the the background everybody had on their Windows computers back then. The road quality was pretty good and felled safe.
There here are a lot of places where you can stop for a food stop for a rest.
There are a lot of things you can do in and around Foz de Iguaçu. First of course the waterfalls at the national park, they are just stunning.
The bird park (Parque das Aves) is another very nice venue to visit, just to be incredible close to a lot of local wild animals.
Than we have the Buddhist temple, the largest one in South America. Last but no least plan a visit to the incredible Itaipu dam.
The three borders landmark is a way to be in Brazil and look at Paraguay and Argentine, you can also visit these both countries by ordering a trip from the hotel you stay!

Public transport:
Transport between the major cities in Brazil is usually by plane. Transport IN the city can be done by metro and by taxi (cabify or 99taxi) and Uber. You can easily order your taxi via apps of the local taxi companies or the uber app.
The metro networks in for example São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are very good, and not expensive. You can buy tickets at every station, also day tickets.
Between the major and minor cities the only option is the bus. However, this is very well organised in Brazil. They are luxury coaches with all the comforts, there are even sleeper buses for night rides. The prices are very good. and on long journeys you stop along the way to have a delicious lunch and/or dinner somewhere (not included in the price).
Order your tickets in advance at Brasilbybus, or you can buy the tickets at the major bus stations in the city.
