The largest tulip park on the continent. A show of natural beauty, colors and aromas.
Boat, bike or walking tours!
Talking about tulips is the same as talking about Holland, right? Absolutely!
And if you have the opportunity to visit the country famous for its windmills and wooden clogs, during the European spring, you will have beautiful flowers to admire. Keukenhof, the largest tulip park in all of Europe, is open for the season between March and May, depending on the heat of the season, as tulips are sensitive flowers and require special care.
The park is also the largest outdoor tulip exhibition on the entire continent, with more than 32 hectares of flowers, of all colors and sizes, and each year, new species are created and exhibited in the park. There are more than 15 kilometers of sidewalks to enjoy a show of colors and aromas.

This year, the park's theme is the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and to honor the event, a flowerbed was created in the shape of a dragon, the symbol of China. There are several pavilions spread throughout the park where flower evaluations are also held. Tulip producers and exhibitors go to this location so that judges can evaluate the quality of their flowers and then they can receive a certificate from the Official Commission of the Netherlands. The park also has dozens of other attractions, such as an orchid garden, a glass house that houses only lilies, and several amusements for children.

Playgrounds, a mini-farm and lots of fun for children too, as well as a
windmill built in 1892, which was used to pump water. People can go inside and climb the windmill to visit it and take great photos of the place. Another interesting tour that can be done at Keukenhof is by boat.

You can enjoy the tulip fields outside the park. There are kilometers and kilometers of beautiful landscapes overlooking the fields of the ‘
Bloembollenstreek’, as the area surrounding the park is known, between the cities of Haarlem and Leiden.
